Huge Fire On Crown St. Destroys Two Jewish Apts. On Shabbos

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHN] — Shabbos afternoon at around 4:30pm a fire broke out in a Jewish apartment building on Crown Street between Albany and Troy Avenues. Heavy and thick black smoke could be seen surrounding the building.
The fire broke out on the fourth floor creating alarm and causing residents to evacuate the building. The fire department and Hatzalah were notified immediately.
FDNY arrived and immediately started battling the fire. The fire was extinguished after 15 minutes of fighting it. The fire destroyed two Jewish apartments and damaged others, the cause of the fire is still unknown. Baruch Hashem no serious injuries were reported.
A firefighter who suffered smoke inhalation was treated on scene by a FDNY Paramedic.
