Suspicious Fire In An Abandon Apartment On President Street

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHN] — A fire broke out earlier today at around 1:45pm in the upper floors of 1628 President Street, which is on the corner of Schenectady Avenue, a large building with many residential units. 911 received many calls from panicking residents who made their way to the roof to escape the heat and smoke.

FDNY responded and within minutes had the fire under control, there were no injuries and no significant damage. The cause of the fire is unknown, pending a investigation by the Fire Department.
