Wilkes Barre Holds Parade, Bonfire

A Lag B'omer parade through the center of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, ended with a bonfire and kumzitz at a local park.

Over 100 people attended a parade in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, in honor of Lag B'Omer.

The parade was organized by Yeshivas Bais Menachem in conjunction with Cheder Menachem Day School and Cong. Ohev Tzedek.

The parade started at the Yeshiva, with live music on one of the trucks and participants marched through the center of town, over the main bridge to a local park where the community got together for a barbeque and bonfire followed by a kumzitz with singing and dancing.

Special thanks to Rabbi Pinye Levitin for arranging the parade.
