Philadelphia Israelis Hold BBQ
300 Israelis came to Avelthorpe Park in Philadelphia to celebrate Lag BaOmer in an event organized by 2 communities.
Some 300 men, women and children of all ages gathered this past Thursday, on Lag BaOmer day for a special family outing and BBQ in Avelthorpe Park in Philadelphia.
The event was a joint effort of the Chabad Comitte for Hebrew Speakers, run by Rabbi Zalman Lipskier and the Beit Harambam community, led by Rabbi Amiram Gabbai and Rabbi Moshe Arbib.
All enjoyed the meal on the grill, while children had fun on a jumping castle. But not before saying the 10 Pesukim and dancing around the bonfire.
Shluchim Rabbi Levi and Rivkah Weber organized a special program for the children.
