Shluchim Guests of the Queen

Rabbi Yossi and Rachel Jacobs of Birmingham were guests at Queen Elizabeth's Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.

Rabbi Yossi and Rachel Jacobs, one of the Chabad Shluchim couples in Birmingham, England, were among the eight thousand guests at Her Majesty the Queen's Garden Party at Buckingham Palace this past Wednesday, May 29.

Rabbi Jacobs heads the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation - Singers Hill Synagogue.

The couple, invited in tribute of their work in the community, were honored to have been introduced to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

The Duchess took an interest in the work of the Shul in Birmingham and was excited to hear about the experiences of the Rebbetzin - a former Californian - in the UK.

Her royal highness was intrigued that Rachel had left her family back home to go on her mission, and inquired how often she got the opportunity to go back home.
