London Shmira Arrive First at Mystery Blast, Owner is UK’s Richest

LONDON, UK — The explosion also caused damage to a shop underneath the flat, which is owned by a company belonging to Jewish multimillionaire Leo Noe.

Mr Noe, who is worth £600m, was also notified and arrived at the property in Bell Lane, Hendon, shortly afterwards.

Members of the voluntary Jewish North West Community Patrol who, had been patrolling the surrounding area, were first on the scene.

SUV Burst into Flames on Eastern Parkway

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHN] — A women driving her SUV on Troy Avenue realized that her vehicle started to heat up quickly. She pulled over to the side of the road, immediately exited her SUV and went to check what was going wrong, a few minutes later the SUV burst into flames causing thick smoke and the acrid smell of burning plastic and rubber.

A Quick Moving Fire Destroys Home On President Street

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHN] — At 10:55pm Sunday night, a quick moving fire raged through a non-Jewish home on the corner of President Street and New York Avenue.

A Shmira member and a Lubavitcher Bocher who live nearby and happened to hear the loud screams for help immediately called 911 and sprang into action by helping two occupants who where trapped inside the house escape the smoke and flames thru a second floor window.

Child Caused Fire that Scorched Chabad House

GOLETA, CA — A fire that caused an estimated $100,000 to a Jewish religious center and rabbi’s home in Isla Vista on Sunday, resulted from a 5-year-old child playing with matches and candles, fire officials said.

Fire investigators interviewed occupants and examined evidence before determining there was no malicious intent in connection with the blaze at UC Santa Barbara’s Chabad House, County Fire Capt. Eli Iskow said.

Alarm Saves Rabbis Family from Fire that Scorches Chabad House

GOLETA, CA — A fire torched parts of the UCSB Chabad House yesterday, leaving the rabbi’s residence with extensive damage.

According to Capt. Eli Iskow of the Santa Barbara Fire Dept., the fire began at noon in a bedroom at 779 Camino Pescadero - the new UCSB Chabad House, a local Orthodox Jewish religious center. Parts of the first and second floors were completely scorched by the flames.

A Fire in the Basement of New Jewish Pharmacy in Crown Heights

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHN] — At around 6:30 PM Thursday evening a fire broke out in the basement of Esti's Pharmacy, a new Jewish Pharmacy in Crown Heights located on Troy Avenue and Eastern Parkway. The fire department was immediately notified, multiple fire trucks responded and managed to extinguish the blaze within a short period of time. Baruch Hashem their were no injuries reported.

Fire at the Bardichiv Shul in Monsey

MONSEY, NY [CHN] — The  Bardichiver  Shul  building  on  Rita Avenue,  which hosted K'hal Tzemach  Tzedek  after  its  own  fire,  had a fire yesterday. The fire department was immediately notified, and had the fire under control after a short few minutes of battling it. At this time it is not clear to us at to  what started the fire. Boruch Hashem there were no injuries.

A house fire at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of South Ash Avenue in central Tempe resulted in damage to a rental unit or garage, but nobody was injured, officials said.

What is being described as a miracle by family members, a Chaifa chareidi family on Monday night escaped near-death when an explosion rocked their Michael Street home, resulting in a major fire in the home as the children were fast asleep. The cause of the explosion has yet to be determined.

FALLSBURG, NY — The Fallsburg fire chief has been arrested in connection with the August 29 arson of a bungalow at a Jewish summer camp in Sullivan County.

James Smith, 33, was arrested Wednesday on felony charges of third-degree arson and burglary and second-degree criminal mischief. He was also charged with misdemeanor official misconduct and solicitation.

Several explosions rocked the Sunrise Propane facility in the Wilson Ave. and Keele St. area, early this morning. There have been reports of injuries.

KFAR CHABAD, Israel — A fire broke out Shabbos in the shul of the Vocational School in Kfar Chabad that had been housing dozens of bochurim from the yeshiva in Nachlas Har Chabad and from the yeshiva of the "Young Shluchim" in Tsfas who came to spend this Shabbos in Kfar Chabad together with Rabbi Yoel Kahn.

Fire Destroys Wheat Fields in Kfar Chabad

Today, a large blaze destroyed a wheat field belonging to the Kfar Chabad Community Council, which is located on the road leading to the Beis Rivka College and extends as far as the Ben Gurion airfield. Hundreds of dunams of wheat crop, sown before Shemittah, went up in flames. It took fire services an unusually long time to arrive, and even when the first fire truck turned up it was delayed and was unable to reach the scene of the fire for a while.

Chabad Synagogue Destroyed By Fire, Rabbi Pledges To Rebound

 

Police and fire fighters are investigating a fire that severely damaged a Miami Beach Chabad synagogue late Monday night. The synagogue’s only Torah was stolen and all the religious objects in the shul, including all the prayer books and prayer shawls were burnt.
