Jay served as the medical liaison for Chabad’s Children of Chernobyl Program; he passed away in April of 2004, after a valiant four-year battle against severe illness, and is survived by his wife, Sharon, and their seven children. Six NYPD helicopters hovered low above Crown Heights this morning leaving many residents wondering what was going on. The helicopters were headed to the funeral of a police officer that was shot and killed in a friendly fire incident over the weekend. The funeral took place in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

A few months ago the Lubavitcher Yeshiva was sent a picture that was published in today's HaMevaser newspaper in Eretz Yisroel. The picture came complete with the claim that this is the picture of the Alter Rebbe's holy countenance and has been handed down throughout the generations for the past 200 years.

JERUSALEM, Israel — One half a year after the horrific carnage in Mumbai, the very last photo of two of the kedoshim- Rabbis Bentzion Korman and Aryeh Leibish Teitlebaum HY"D, surfaced. The picture was sent by the driver of the factory where they worked as mashgichim, and was taken but hours before they gave up their lives on Kiddush Hashem.
